    Sophie will share a case study from recent work with a fellow BECBC members showing the importance of upskilling managers so they can make that leap from managing the work to managing the people who manage the work. The message underlying this is that great management improves motivation and engagement and that this in turn improves employee satisfaction, retention and productivity. She'll talk about delegating responsibility as well as tasks, making the sharing of feedback part of everyday activities and the importance of meeting regularly with team members on a 1:1 basis.
