Event Details

The 23rd annual CIPD Health and wellbeing at work report shows the highest sickness absence rate for over a decade, despite 53% of organisations having their own wellbeing strategy. Presenteeism remains prevalent, with people reporting for work unable to perform at their best. It's estimated that around 15.2 million working days are lost due to musculoskeletal conditions each year, the most common cause after mental health issues. However, for organisations that invest in meaningful well-being, they see a return of £5.60 for every £1 invested (Deloitte:2022)

Biological well-being from Adapt and Evolve Consultancy cuts through the traditional approach to well-being, giving your staff the knowledge and support they need to reduce their sickness and improve their performance. Through linking the effects of stress hormones on the body, and scientifically proven methods to effectively alleviate these, your staff are equipped to efficiently identify and manage their own stresses, leaving them better able to perform both in and out of work.

In this two-hour abridged session, you will experience a workshop that may change your life. You will leave with a better understanding of:

  • The evolution of stress, how and why the body reponds as it does
  • The effect of chronic stress on three whole body systems
  • Musculoskeletal
  • Gastrointestinal
  • Cardiovascular
  • Methods to alleviate the symptoms in each of these systems and scientifically proven strategies to reduce the damaging impacts of chronic stress.
